Our Christmas Adventures...

I can't believe 2008 is coming to an end in no less than 3 more days. How is that even possible?? We have been so busy this month and have had so much fun!! Mia & Jacob are just beginning to grasp the magic this season brings, we played with our nativity so much and celebrated Jesus' birth by baking a cake together and then lighting up the candles Christmas morning. The excitement of seeing a Christmas tree in the family room, lights up and down the street, late evening outings filled with adventure (which meant late bedtimes) and so many crafts. It was truly magical this year for John and I to watch as they danced and squealed with laughter as we celebrated Christmas together.

Here are a glimpse of the activities we packed into 1 month!!

Huntington Beach Live Nativity
Every year Huntington Beach hosts a live nativity to walk through. We waited in line, had some hot cocoa and walked through each scene, it was so special for the kids to actually see the story we were reading at home come to life!! Although Mia interrupted many times to yell...."baaaaa, baaaaa" "heeehaaaa, heeehaaaa" because that is what a sheep and donkey say... right?? "Mary even thought it was funny" special memories....

Carlsbad Beach ~ Del Mar Holiday Light Show
Last weekend we headed down to San Diego, stopped in Carlsbad for some wonderful mexican food on the beach and then headed down Del Mar to see the lights. The Del Mar race track is turned into a holiday spectacular drive thru show with more than 400 animations. The kids loved it and they even served us starbucks Espresso Truffles through our window!!!
