6 Months Old!

In August Jacob and Mia turned 6 months old!! John and I have no idea where the time has gone. In one aspect were so excited to watch them grow and be apart of watching them discover absolutely everything for the first time. There really is no greater blessing!! On the other hand its bittersweet that they just grow up too fast!! Now we know what our parents mean when they say we grew into adults in the blink of an eye. So John & I are cherishing every single moment, especially those nights that they sleep all the way through!!
At their 6 month appointment Jacob weighed in at 14lb 6oz and 24inches long....he has more than quadrupled his birthweight of 3lb 11oz. Jacob was getting up on all fours across the exam table and shredding the paper...our Pediatrician had one piece of advice for us...."get those gates up fast!!!"
Sweet Mia weighed in at 14lb 3oz and is 24 1/2 inches long....a whole 1/2" longer than her brother! Mia wasnt too happy about her immunizations or just the whole idea of being at the doctors office so she proceeded to pee all over the table :)
