September 2007

Wow, I can't believe we only have a few more days of September left. Where did this month go? Jacob and Mia are growing up so fast, too fast if you ask Mommy & Daddy. I want to stop time and be able to enjoy these days, cuddle my babies, shower them with Mommys attention and presence always. I guess when you are the mommy of twins there is always a little guilt that they dont get their mommy completely alone like one baby would that first year. They have to share mommy and daddy time, on the other hand they have an incredible blessing of experiencing each and every second since before birth with their other half. I guess thats an experience that we can't imagine since neither of us are twins :) I love being able to watch them without them seeing me. The special bond that they have....always touching the other one, babbling in their own little language and when they are in their side by side stroller one of them always has a hand on the other one. My heart swells with so much love for them!

Mia has really come into a sweet personality. She smiles all the time and is becoming so independent. She is sitting up completely unassisted now and loves to smile and giggle at Mommy & Daddy. When we turn on her video monitor at 6am she is wide awake talking to her animals and playing with her feet......we have no idea what time she really gets up but as long as she is happy talking with her friends then mommy & daddy are happy too!

Jacob is so active!! He is scooting everywhere! This morning I came downstairs after a quick run up to get some laundry and when I came down I panicked because one quick glance around the family room and he was nowhere to be seen, and then I turned the corner and saw my boy all the way across the room next to the hall closet....he had scooted very quickly across the floor. As of this afternoon he is moving his hands to crawl but hasnt learned the finesse of moving his legs with his arms.....so we have some rugburns on our forehead from going head first into the carpet since our legs arent following. I think it will only be a couple more days of practice and we will have a little crawler on our hands.

We love bathtime and now that we are sitting up we get to use our big bath!! Jacob and Mia love the faucet and want to play with the water as it is coming out!! Mommy just got us a new inflatable bathtub so we can take a bath together without our seat. We'll post pictures soon!
