The BIG 3-0!!

I can't believe I turned 30 today, it seems so surreal. I anticipated that it would be like any other birthday, another joyful day praising God for all the blessings around me. I always thought it was so silly when I heard people say that "this year was a rough one..intending the actual number. So silly...........and then I turned 30!!! Why is this one so hard to swallow? Its more of a melancholy emotion I guess, its so hard to put into words. I'm thrilled to celebrate my 30th birthday with two of the most precious babies around, a wonderful husband and incredible family and friends, I am rich in love and friendship... and yet "30" is still hard to swallow. Oh well I'm assuming that this feeling will work itself out...maybe over the weekend at a resort sipping some martinis, tanning and going to the spa with my hubby..that should do it!!!
One of my friends had this on her blog for her 30th..(today too) "HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA!!!" and I loved it so I'm going to go through 30 things I am so thankful for....

1. My salvation!! even when I'm unlovely HE still loves me!!
2. My husband, My best friend!
3. My babies.....ohhh I never knew you could love so much!
4. My family.....I feel like the richest girl in the world with family like this.
5. My friends....I am so blessed to have true friends, we laugh, we cry, we share!
6. My job.... I get to do something I love and help others on their journey
7. My home....filled with love and laughter.
8. My car...transportation to go anywhere I want to go!!
9. Our church...we met there, proposed there, got married and now our babies
10. Southern California....It a beautiful fun place to live!
11. Our health, we are healthy, breathing, walking
12. Email...I can stay in touch with anyone anytime anywhere..how great is that!
13. Worship music....loud and in my car, nothing like praising God out loud to put things in perspective... Thanks Dad for my new David Crowder CD today!!!!
14. My new favorite MC'Ds Vanilla Iced Coffee, if you havent had one yet they are sooo GOOD!
15. Sipping great wine with my husband
16. 1000 thread count sheets....this is where we splurge :)
17. Shopping for my daughter, there are just too many cute dresses, skirts and bows!!
18. Ann Taylor Loft.....there isnt anything I dont like in that store and its petite!
19. Movies at the Theatre, I have to have my popcorn and a coke or its not a movie
20. Flip that house, were addicted we love it and we TIVO it...
21. Baseball games, not so much for the game but the hotdogs, coke and peanuts :)
22. The Spa.....do I have to say anything else
23. COACH...I love coach, I have like 4 of them in my closet, I always think I'll pull them out again and re-use but I never do.
24. Seared Ahi...my favorite..along with a good glass of white wine.
25. Long hot bubble baths, its the best way to end the day.
26. Date Nights!
27. Sunsets over the ocean
28. Shopping trips with my mom! We always have too much fun!
29. Sushi!!
30....did I say sushi??
