Jacob has been our little peanut since the morning he came into our world. At birth he weighed 3lb 11oz thus he was named our peanut. As most of you know we have struggled with feeding issues with Jacob for some time. We love our Pediatrician and until yesterday afternoon he has always been a little disappointed in Jacobs slow weight gain but satisfied that he was gaining and genetically speaking John and I just arent really big people. I took Jacob in yesterday to check on his cold and make sure that it didnt turn into an ear infection of course while I was there I asked the nurse to weigh him even though he wasnt scheduled for a weight check until his 18mth appt next month. Jacob is 18lbs 2oz...with his shirt on so lets just say 18lbs!! Dr. Ball comes in and says I was having a great day until I saw his weight for 17 months, turns out Jacobs weight has pretty much stayed the same for the last 3 to 4 months even though he is eating. So now Dr. Ball is no longer disappointed, he's pretty concerned now. Mia spent the night with Nana and Papa last night while I took Jacob to Mission Hospital this morning to have numerous blood tests done. The Pediatric nurses were amazing and able to get all his vials of blood done in one quick draw, although it made no difference to mommy because his tears are tears either way and that hurts. We should get the results back in a couple days but until then were praying that all is well and he just takes after his mommy. Nana got out my baby book and sure enough at 12 months I weighed 17lbs and at 24months I weighed 20lbs......so Jacob isnt too far off but like all us mommys know we have to make sure that were not missing anything.
Please keep Jacob in your prayers for healthy normal blood work, healing and a BIG appetite!!!

Praying for Jacob, along with mommy and daddy. Lay your requests before God and wait in expectancy. :)
Praying like crazy for your little peanut. So reassuring to know you were small, too.
Ohhhh, he's in our prayers and definitely let us know if/when you hear anything. Poor guy AND poor mommy! Maddie sends her hugs, too!
Praying for sweet Jacob. It is reassuring to know that you were small too and maybe this is all just genetics. Keep us posted!
