18 months!!

Mia Noel and Jacob Nolan are 18 months old. The fastest 18 months of my entire life. The best 18 months of my life and the most rewarding time of our life. With every stage of their life my hold on them gets a little tighter.... because I have become aware of how quickly time is passing me by. Every waking, learning, giggling moment is precious and can't be replaced or captured again. My mind wants to take a picture of every new skill learned, every new emotion, maneuver and smile. I want to audibly record every new word that they are learning minute by minute, every conversation that they have with each other, and every kiss that comes my way, because I know one day that I will be able to retain a few precious memories but some will grow distant and foggy. I will be able to look back and remember them running and tumbling, playing hide and seek, the way Mia says "God" and the sweet way Jacob says "good girl" but I'll forget somethings and that is reality.
So at 18 months there is a little lump in my throat as I watch how quickly my babies are growing up and maturing into full toddlerhood, but there is also pure joy and honor as I watch them blossom into their own beautiful personalities. and then a little fear as John and I come to a full understanding that they are maturing right before us, learning by watching and hearing. We are beyond honored and blessed that God has given us HIS two precious babies to be stewards of here on earth, to grow them in His word, His truth and for His glory. To pour into them a passion for their Heavenly Daddy so that His purpose could be fulfilled in their life. The responsibility is humbling and daunting but worth every second as we pour all He has given us into them, we pray that their cup overflows with His goodness all the days of their life.

So what are Mia and Jacob up to these days.....
*we are climbing up everything!
* we dance on demand, we get dizzy after twirling and then we fall down to then get up and do it again!
* Praise God Jacob is actually eating!!
*Jacob loves to be outside, at 8:00 in the morning he is banging on the back door.
*Mia loves to read, she points out so many things in all her books and calls them by name, she will bring a book to anyone that will let 'her' read to them!
*They both point out Jesus in their bedtime bible
*We are fascinated with the toilet...maybe potty training is right around the corner!
*When I say shoes they both sit down and lift up their feet!
*Mia climbs up her high chair when she is hungry....which is all day!!
*Jacob is pointing at what he wants now...drink,milk,snack(fishies),outside,car,byebye
*Jacob and Mia point out Daddy in all the pictures when he is at work.
*They run into nana and papas house and wave byebye at mommy
*They take the cabinet locks off all the cabinets and bring them to mommy and daddy
*Jacob loves to color with crayons and his BIG coloring book.
*Mia gave her first kiss to a boy...daddy was not pleased :)
*Mia says....Mama,Dada,Papa,Nana,car,doggie,cup,bath,horse,pig,kittykat,jacob,duckie,ball,nanas(bananas),milk,yes,pool,water,book,turtle,good girl,nose.
*Jacob says...dada,papa,nana,mama,doggie,goodgirl (sounds like gogr),yes, no is "da", ball, Mia is "Meee"
