Merry Christmas!!!

I can't believe that its the end of the day and the babies have had their 1st Christmas!!! What a year of miracles it has been. Last night I was reading my prayer journal from exactly one year ago on Christmas Eve. I had just been released from the hospital home on strict bedrest. Our doctor was not optimistic that we would be able to make it even close to full term so we were doing everything we could possibly do to deliver healthy babies and at the top of that list was prayer!! As I was journaling last night about our first Christmas Eve with Jacob and Mia I was in such awe of God's amazing plan that it was hard to even journal at all, where was I going to begin? One year ago I was laying the desires of my heart at the feet of Jesus, putting the babies in His hands and just taking one day at a time and then here we are 1 year later with the most beautiful precious babies of our life sleeping quietly in the next room, only hours to wake up to a room full of laughter, giggles, "mama" and "daaaadeee". I am humbled by His goodness, His grace and His mercy!!

Here is our family picture from Christmas Eve!!

"I'll do it myself"

Little Miss Mia decided that tonight was the end of mommy feeding her and the beginning of many days in which she will boldy proclaim, "I do it myself"...and for those that know Mia personally we know that this is just the beginning!!
At dinner tonight after a couple spoonfulls of chicken and applesauce Mia decided that she no longer wanted Mommy to feed her, she grabbed the spoon and scooped up her own applesauce and fed herself. When mommy tried to help her she very loudly (in her own language) told mommy NO!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

The Pascua's had a whirlwind Holiday weekend with family! We went from Johns parents Thursday morning to my family in the afternoon. We stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's Thanksgiving night and then shopped at The Grove in Beverly Hills on Friday, a jazz concert on Saturday evening at a resort on the beach, brunch with family on Sunday morning and visitors from the Philippines on Sunday afternoon. Whewwwww were tired!!
Here are some pics from this weekend :) Enjoy!!
