Thanks Iain for letting us play in your jeep, maybe we can talk our mommy and daddy into getting us one for Christmas :)

" I dare you"

First thing in the morning Mia and Jacob run out to their water table, in pajamas and all. Usually they proceed to filling up their buckets with water, this Saturday morning we hear laughter and squealing coming from the backyard. While John and I watched from the glass door, we watched as Jacob was teaching his sister his first "dare". (and then we grabbed the camera)

Jacob was pretending to dip his head in the water (which he wasnt really doing at all) and then he would lift his head back up and giggle hysterically. Mia fell for it and decided to do the same thing only she put her head completely in the water and came back up with full belly giggling as well. So now we have 2 toddlers giggling hysterically at 7:00am...and one with a wet head!!

"I didnt know she would really do it...."

party,party,party

Mia and Jacob had 2 birthday parties this weekend.
Saturday afternoon we celebrated Iains 4th Birthday!! Prior to this party Mia and Jacob have been intimidated by any kind of 'bounce' house. They simply would not go in and were more interested in observing then participating. We got to Iains party early and John went into the bounce house with them.....and the rest is history!!

On Sunday afternoon we went to "Pump It Up" to celebrate Pravir's 5th Birthday!!
Mia and Jacob were primed and ready for an all out afternoon of bouncing...mommy and daddy had fun too!!

It isnt often we get a family photo, here is one of us at Pravir's Party!!

"Starbucks in Taiwan"

85C Bakery and Cafe opened its first store in the United States this weekend! This bakery is compared to be what Starbucks is in the U.S. as to what 85C Bakery is in Taiwan!! So of course we had to check it out!! Its located in a brand new town center called Diamond Jamboree in Irvine, its asian themed and consists of Japanese, Korean & Chinese restaurants, markets and specialty shops!! My husband and my kids fit right in of course.
We were not disapointed in the least, the bakery was phenomenal and the kids were excited about their mango and strawberry smoothies!! John and I were able to check out some great restaurants that we'll be planning as dates so that we can enjoy the atmosphere and not worry about rice being thrown in all directions :)

What is there not to say about this movie. John and I walked out of the theater inspired, exhilerated, thankful and prayerful. First off it was so awesome to go to a movie that was completely wholesome and biblical..how often can we do that!!
We both highly recommend this movie to all our married friends, absolutely everyone can go to this movie and take something of value away from it. It was well written and just a fantastic movie!! We made a promise to each other to be in prayer over the entire weekend, praying that God will use this movie to minister to marriages across america. That through this movie He can bring hope, restoration and resurrection to many marriages under attack. The enemy is out there preying on broken marriages looking to steal, kill and destroy. There are so many marriages and families that are being ripped off in society today, John and I both hold a tender place for this need.
We hope you get a chance to see it and enjoy it as much as we did!!!

The beginning of a great weekend

Week 1 of John being home with the kids has come to an end and what a great week it has been. For as long as I have known John he has always been in the accounting/finance industry and what a demanding, time consuming career that is!! In the past few months we have specifically been praying and seeking that if Johns current career path was not lining up with our family values and Gods will then we asked for God to intervene and change his path. Well He did and we werent surprised but rather thankful to see God moving our path to align with His will and plans for our family. In less than a week we have been so amazingly blessed to see recruiters for his industry opening doors, arranging meetings to meet his schedule and opportunities that look very promising! All in all we are resting and prayerfully waiting on the Lord to direct a new path!

So what have we been doing....John has loved being home with the kids, cherishing every second of the day, playing, reading, laughing and napping!! I have been able to participate in a Tuesday night bible study with my mom on Beth Moore and this morning I started another bible study I have been longing to do at Calvary Costa Mesa..Joyful Life Ministries. We are studying the book of John and I am so thankful that God has provided this time for me.

Today we took the kids to the park to feed the hundreds of ducks down the street from us, the kids loved it!

Jacob and his water

Jacob loves water! As soon as he wakes up in the morning he runs to the sliding glass door so he can go outside and empty his water table by filling up bowls and buckets and then refilling his table with the hose. A problem we continue to have everyday is that Jacob loves to bring his water inside!!! Before either one of us can turn around fast enough he has already filled up a bowl of water and is half way across the dining room!!
We laugh and treasure his fixation on helping mommy clean because we know these days are fleeting and will be distant memories someday!!
