were crazy about animals!

All Mia and Jacob talk about are animals. We love the birdies, the snakes, the horsies, the monkeys...you name it they love it!! even the "buggies"!!

Our favorite weekly hang out is the Santa Ana Zoo, its great for an hour out in the morning and the kids get their fill of monkeys, llamas, turtles, birds, snakes and even more monkeys!

were so EXCITED to go to the Zoo....again!

Party at My Gym

We celebrated my best friends twins 1st birthday a few weeks ago at My Gym!! It really is amazing, we have been best friends since we were 12 and here we are 19 years later with boy/girl twins 1 year apart, plus sweet Iain who is almost 5!!
Hardly a day goes by that we dont talk so celebrating our babies birthdays together calls for a big party!!

Jacob and his big tonsils

On Wednesday May 27th we headed to Mission Regional Hospital with our sweet little peanut before the sun was even out. We checked in and were taken immediately back to the Pediatric Surgical Pavilion in seconds, I have to admit even for a nurse I was so impressed with their private pediatric surgical pavilion...everyone was so wonderful and so sensitive to Jacob's apprehension and curiosity! He seriously was the cutest boy in his little gown walking his puppy, spot!

The tale of Spot~ the weekend before his surgery we walked into the cutest baby boutique in Seal Beach and Jacob found this little puppy in the corner and had so much fun 'walking' him around the store. Of course our time in the store ended in lots of tears and a little tantrum as we had to leave the puppy behind. A few days later I stopped in the store to scoop up this little 'puppy' Jacob loved so much and we gave it to him in the hospital. They quicky became best friends!!

24 hrs later and we were discharged home to Daddy and Mia with no tonsils, no adenoids and tubes in his ears!! He was a happy boy and now knows what it feels like to breathe through his nose!

LIFE...our women's luncheon

We had an amazing time at our womens luncheon at our church. My favorite speaker, our very own Fayanna Worrell spoke about 'LIFE' focusing mostly on LIFE~with babies, toddlers, kids, teenagers...etc. It was an incredibly inspiring and touching message. I know that I didnt walk out the same and some of her powerful tips for moms in the everyday business of life, balancing and juggling still replay as a reminder to me everyday. I'm so grateful I got to spend the morning with the girls and receive this powerful message. I had to scoot out at lunchtime to attend my best friends twins first birthday party which was just as much fun!! Pics to come of that next!

Backyard BBQ at Nana and Papa's

I'm still blogging backwards but these pictures are too cute not to share :) I still can't believe how big these two have gotten!!

Two weeks ago sweet Sarah spent the day with us while her parents spent the day in the ER. We had so much fun and the kids absolutely adored spending all day with her. I took her to a baby shower with me and then we met up with John, Mia and Jacob at my parents house for a BBQ, later that night the kids experienced their first "real" earthquake!

...and as for Mia's "zebra" outfit we were shopping for another little girls birthday and Mia saw these zebra shorts and starting yelling for zebra sorts, zebra sorts...so we walked out with yet another new outfit. Does it really start this early??

we LOVE the swings at papa and nana's!

our baby goes everywhere with us!

mowing papa's lawn...we start young!!

Too cute...this would be right before Mia broke out in an allergic reaction to rasberries...she ate hers and Sarah and Jacobs.

The girls love Carly!

Where did Spring go?

Where has spring gone??
It seems like summer is creeping up on us (in less than 4 weeks) and spring has barely sprung. Mia and Jacob were sick the first 3 weeks of May it seemed like and the last week we have been out and about enjoying the beautiful outdoors before were housebound again in a few days.

I am loving this season in the twins life!! Our days are filled with endless chatter, wonderous conversations and pure love...a few meltdowns and tantrums too but watching their willful personalities develop is a blessing to be cherished and not one we take lightly, we are blessed!!

I catch Mia rocking and singing lullabys to her sextuplets....yes she has a total of 6 babies now and they are all named, its priceless!! she gently changes their diapers, puts their clothes on and stands up rocking them side to side while singing lullaby or jesus loves me. Mia loves to pray, she squeezes her eyes shut says dear jesus...and talks to him in her sweet little voice and then we hear...AMEN!! John and I are so blessed to nurture this sweet spirit in her and watch as God uses it for His purpose!

Jacob is a boy full of adventure, curiousity and absolute sweetness. He loves to share with Mia..he will share anything of his and is currently obsessed with saying "tank you" to anyone we may come across and with anything I give him, and if you don't say "your welcome" he will continue to say thank you until he gets his response. We love it!!! He is also back to his first love of "Praise Baby DVD's" I'm not sure what stirred his love of it again since I used to play them when they were only a couple months old but he asks for it all day, and I don't mind the praise and worship in the background either. He loves to snuggle with his mama and when I'm not around he will seek me out no matter what I'm doing and sweetly ask...."mama hold you" I know these days are fleeting and he won't always want his mommy to hold him so I'm very careful not to take for granted my sweet babies and their need for mommy to hold them. What a blessing that is!

Here is what we've been up to....
